I’m sure everyone agrees that our winter in Chicago is a bit too cold and needs to end now….actually, I wish it never came. But if you live in Chicago, you can’t get away from the cold winters. To help make this cold a little more bearable and break through my winter blues, I’ve started to use my crock pot more. I feel like every winter I start out eating right but by the end, I find myself eating more on the go and “easy” meals that are not as nutritious. Like I said, it’s the winter blues!
So if you have a crockpot (or if not, I think they are worth every penny!) try out these recipes! They are great because you don’t have to spend an hour in the kitchen to make a hearty meal. You literally throw everything in, walk away for 4-6 hours, and come back to enjoy! You can make anything in a crockpot..ANYTHING! So if you’re getting stuck in a rut and not wanting to cook or notice your meals are not as heart healthy as they should be, give these recipes a try!
